Early career researchers were invited to present to the UNESCO Ecohydrology Programme Scientific Advisory Committee and other Ecohydrology Programme leaders at their annual meeting in Faro, Portugal. The early career researchers included:

• ​Ms Edyta Kiedrzynska - Professor and Deputy Director European Regional Centre for Ecohydrology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland.
• Ms Anastasia Mirli - PhD Student - Delta Nestos, Lakes Vistonida - Ismarida Management Body, Delta Nestos Information Center, Greece
• Ms Lauren Zielinski – Young Researcher and Project Coordinator – IHE Delft
